How to Adjust to Clean, Cleansing Oil
Why Oil Cleansing Works
Your skin is made of both oil and water, and harmony between the two is what keeps it healthy. Traditional water-based cleansers are designed with harsh ingredients to cut through makeup, sunscreen, and buildup, but in doing so, they often strip away the skin’s natural oils. The result? Skin that feels tight, dry, and overworked as it struggles to restore its own balance.
Clean works with your skin, not against it. Using lightweight, non-comedogenic oils, it effortlessly dissolves makeup, sunscreen, and buildup that water-based cleansers can’t reach, all without disturbing your moisture barrier. The result is skin that feels refreshed, soft, and balanced, never tight or stripped.
How to Use Clean
Because oil and water don’t mix, always remove Clean with a damp cloth or facial towel. This lifts away impurities and leaves your skin feeling clean and calm. Switching to Clean isn’t just changing a cleanser, it’s resetting your skin’s rhythm. Once balanced, skin can feel calmer, clearer, and more at peace.
Transitioning to Oil Cleansing
Every skin adjusts differently. Choose your pace:
Go All In – Switch to Clean morning and night. As your skin adjusts, some people notice a short 1–3 week “purging” phase — a few temporary breakouts as pores begin to clear and balance returns. Others transition smoothly with no purging at all.
Ease In – Start by using Clean first, then follow with your usual cleanser. Each week, reduce your water-based cleanser until you’re using Clean alone.
Mix & Match – Prefer a double cleanse? Keep your water-based cleanser a few times a week. Just always use Clean first.
Note: If your skin experiences mild purging, it’s simply adjusting, not reacting. Within weeks, most people notice the appearance of a calmer, clearer, more radiant complexion.
