Frequently asked questions.

Will it clog my pores?
Clean is a non-comedogenic oil, made with light oils like jojoba and squalane that are chosen not to clog pores. Everyone’s skin responds differently, so if you’re breakout-prone, start with a patch test.
Does it remove makeup and sunscreen?
Yes. The oil lifts makeup and sunscreen on dry skin, no rinsing needed. Massage it over your face, eyelids included, then wipe clean with a damp cloth or cotton pad.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Clean is formulated with sensitive skin in mind and leaves out the usual triggers: no preservatives, parabens, phthalates, fragrance or detergent cleansers, and each batch is made the week it ships. Everyone’s skin is different, so try a patch test first on the inside of your wrist before using it on your face.
Do I need a second cleanser?
Clean cleanses on its own, so there’s no need to follow it with a foaming cleanser. A second, foaming cleanser would strip what Clean is designed to leave in place. Wipe it off with a damp cloth or cotton pad until your skin feels clean, then carry on with your routine.
Is it safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
Yes. Clean is made without retinoids, parabens, phthalates or preservatives, and every ingredient is safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Please check with your doctor before starting any new skincare.
Can I use it with my other products?
Yes. Clean takes the place of your current cleanser, and a simpler routine is easier to stick with. If you use a prescription skincare product, check with your doctor before adding anything new.
Why are there no preservatives?
Because each batch is made the week it ships. Most skincare is made to last years on a shelf, and that takes preservatives. They can also disrupt your skin’s natural balance. Ours is dated the day it’s made and meant to be used within 60 days, so it doesn’t need them.
How do I know my order is fresh?
Check the box and the bottle. The Made On date is printed on the box, and the Use By date is on the bottle. Each batch is made the week it ships, so the Made On date falls in the week your order shipped.
